Scott R. Gardner, DDS
Dr. Gardner grew up in the rural community of Challis Idaho. He then earned his doctorate from West Virginia University, Dr. Gardner returned to Idaho and has served patients in the Treasure Valley for over 22 years. His passion for continuing his education and staying on the cutting edge of dental advancements and technology helps him to provide his clients with the best possible treatment results.
Dr. Gardner is a member of the American Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Association, the Western Treasure Valley Dental Society, The WhiteCap Institute, and the Crown Council. He is also a Vivos Integrated Provider, Sleep and Airway Health Solutions Dentist.
He spends his time outside the office with his wife, Andrea, and their five children Nathan, Katelyn, Kaden, Connor and Makayla. They enjoy the outdoors skiing, mountain biking, wakeboarding, fishing, hiking and camping as a family. They often travel as a family doing dental mission trips in impoverished areas around the world, and locally through charities for veterans in need.
Nathan Gardner, DDS
Dr. Nathan Gardner has been part of the Family Dental Center family since birth. He was born and raised in Nampa, and after graduating from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, he studied dentistry at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he obtained his DDS degree.
Nathan loves using the latest dental technology to help give his patients the best care possible. He brings a positive attitude daily, listening to his patients and helping them to smile with confidence.
Outside of the office he loves playing basketball and watching sports. Bogus Basin is one of his favorite spots, he loves being in the mountains, skiing, and mountain biking. He and his wife Taysa enjoy traveling and spending time with extended family.
Laurie, Office Manager
Laurie has had the pleasure of being the office manager at Family Dental Center just over 10 years, as part of her 42-year career in dentistry.
She specializes in helping patients overcome obstacles to help them get the treatment they need. She spends her out of the office time on outdoor adventures with her husband Tom, and three German Shorthair pointers. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and treasures her family time with her kids and grandkids who all live locally.
Taysa, Dental Hygienist
Taysa graduated from Idaho State University Bachelor of Dental Hygiene program in 2021.
Taysa graduated from Idaho State University Bachelor of Dental Hygiene program in 2021. She is passionate about educating her patients about their oral health to help them better prevent cavities & periodontal disease.
Taysa has been married to her husband, Nathan Gardner, for three years. The couple recently moved back to Nampa from the Midwest and are so excited to be back in the Treasure Valley!
When not out exploring the world with her husband, she enjoys reading, cooking new recipes & trying new restaurants, and she loves interior design.
Andrea, Dental Hygienist
Andrea is one of our outstanding hygienists. She graduated from Idaho State Dental Hygiene program in 1995 and has enjoyed helping patients with their dental health for over 27 years.
She met her husband Scott Gardner, while attending ISU, and as they say, the rest is history. They share a passion for dentistry and helping patients and have five amazing grown children: Nathan, Katelyn, Kaden, Connor, and Makayla. She spends much of her time volunteering at church and local organizations. She loves attending their high school-aged daughter’s dance and sporting events and cheering on all the youth in the area. She is an avid cyclist and can be found on the country roads in the area. They enjoy the outdoors together, skiing, hiking, water sports, and gardening as a family. They often travel as a family and have enjoyed serving on dental mission trips.
Katelyn, Dental Hygienist
Katelyn is a hardworking hygienist in our office. She graduated from Utah College of Dental Hygiene. She is dedicated to her patient’s dental health.
She is an avid outdoor lover. In the winter she can be found on the ski slopes, and during the summer she enjoys all kinds of water sports. She has recently taken up slacklining (similar to tightrope walking-balancing high off the ground on a rope stretched between two points). She also enjoys traveling and going to concerts.
Star, Dental Hygienist
Star is one of our superstar hygienists. She graduated from Carrington College Dental Hygiene Program.
Star can communicate with our Spanish-speaking patients. She was born and raised here in Nampa, but she loves to travel to tropical destinations, trying new foods and experiences. She enjoys hiking and taking in all the beautiful Idaho sunsets. She has an adorable Pomeranian named Achillies and when she is not working, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
